Meet Mikaila

Mikaila Almond has been a licensed Realtor® since 2013, earning multiple awards in recognition of her achievements. She is a proud member of the Davis Group with Engel & Völkers Vancouver Island, bringing a wealth of expertise and commitment to every client she serves.

Mikaila lives in South Oak Bay with her daughters Niah and Tayla. Mikaila has lived in Victoria for the majority of her life, growing up in the Cook Street village area and attending Oak Bay High School. Following her graduation she went to Camosun College where she completed the Hospitality Management program, then continued her education at the University of Victoria receiving her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.

Mikaila possesses firsthand experience in both buying and selling homes in Victoria and her beautiful Gonzales neighbourhood, where she has spent the majority of her life. Her deep familiarity with the area grants her a personal understanding of the city's neighbourhoods unique characteristics and market trends. Mikaila has experience owning investment properties, and spent 4 years renovating her own 1950's home extensively, inside and out.

In 2018, Mikaila earned her certificate for completing the Introduction to Interior Design at The Pacific Design Academy. With a profound passion for interior design and a comprehensive understanding of the elements and principles of design, she offers clients personalized walk-through home staging consultations. Through her expertise, she optimizes the space in your home, ensuring the best first impression for potential buyers during the marketing process.

Mikaila is a Level 1 snowboard instructor and finds joy in many outdoor activities. She can often be found with her family exploring the beaches, parks and trails around Victoria.

IN THE COMMUNITY...

Mikaila is a dedicated community volunteer, actively engaged in fundraising and volunteer activities from a young age. She was a leadership donor with the United Way of Greater Victoria and served on the GenNext Council for six years. During her time at the University of Victoria, she held the role of director of charity on several organizations and successfully chaired numerous events. Mikaila currently sits on the Community Relations Committee with the Victoria Real Estate Board, and has also volunteered on the Professional Development Committee, MLS® Committee, and The Professionals Network. Giving back is a core value in Mikaila's life, and she is passionate about instilling the importance of community service and philanthropy in her daughters.
